Privacy policy
Sidellia respects your privacy. This page explains what data we handle and what we do with it.

Who we are
Sidellia is a free web service that computes natal charts with professional-grade astronomy (Swiss Ephemeris) and explains them in plain language.
The data controller is the Sidellia team. For any inquiry, write to hola@sidellia.com.
What data we collect
For Sidellia to function we collect a limited set of information. To compute your chart you enter your date, time, and place of birth; the place is converted into geographic coordinates for the calculation. Some of it is generated through your use of the service: technical data about your connection and device (such as your IP address and browser language) and data about how you interact with the site. If you request your chart by email, we keep your email together with the computed chart. If you save charts to your account, whether your own or other people's (for example a friend or a family member), those charts and their birth data stay in your private library and only you can see them.
We keep that data for as long as we run the service or until you ask us to delete it by writing to hola@sidellia.com. If you do not opt in to updates, that information is used solely for the delivery you requested.
Each calculation made on Sidellia is stored temporarily and without being linked to your identity, so we can understand in aggregate how the service is used (for example, which signs or countries are most common). These calculations are deleted automatically after 30 days.
How we use your data
We use this information to keep the service working: to compute your chart, to display the result, to deliver the material you request, and to attend to inquiries related to your use of the service.
If you opted in to updates, we may also contact you occasionally to inform you about Sidellia. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hola@sidellia.com or by using the unsubscribe link included in every update email.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes. We only work with the providers needed to run and improve the service, who process data on our behalf.
Cookies and technical data
We use no advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not build profiles to sell you anything. The cookies strictly necessary for the site to function are always used: the session cookie when you sign in with your email (managed by Supabase Auth and expiring on sign-out) and the minimal technical cookies required for security.
In addition, if you give your consent, an analytics tool measures in aggregate how the service is used (for example, which sections are viewed) to help us improve it. It is not used for advertising or to profile you, and you can withdraw your consent anytime. Without your consent no analytics cookies are set and you are not personally identified.
When you use the service we record technical data about your connection, such as your IP address, from which we derive your country code using a local IP-range database (data courtesy of db-ip.com, CC BY 4.0 licence). We may retain this technical data for as long as necessary for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics.
Providers
To keep Sidellia running, we work with providers who process data on our behalf:
- Hostinger: site hosting and email delivery.
- Supabase: the database that stores your request (your email, the computed chart, and country code) and account authentication if you sign in.
- A web analytics provider: processes in aggregate how the site is used (page views, with no birth data or personal identifiers). Without your consent it sets no cookies and does not identify you.
Each provider processes data under its own data-processing terms.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to processing, and port your data. To exercise any of these rights, write to hola@sidellia.com from the email you registered with.
If you believe we are not handling your request properly, you may file a complaint with your national data protection authority. For Spain, that is the AEPD (www.aepd.es).
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this document and, for substantial changes, notify you by email if you subscribed to updates.
