Almuten

Definition

The almuten of a given degree is the planet that accumulates the greatest total of dignities at that point of the zodiac. Traditional astrology weighs domicile, exaltation, triplicity, term, and decan-ruler, and adds the scores together: whichever planet wins the sum is the almuten. The technique resolves the question "if I had to pick one planet to speak for this point, which planet has the most authority here?"
